View Full Version : We are Poets

We are children
In a world of words,
and gestures
Our first thoughts
Bind our hearts,
to paper, to pen.

We exist,
just out of normal
Where our words...
Turn seconds to minutes
Minutes to hours.

It isn't a special handshake
nor fanfare that makes one
Acknowledge the other...
Tis a simple nod,
letting the other know
We hear their words in our minds
Feel that thunder in our veins
And drink in the beauty
Of a verse...to our souls

Beauty bleeds from every line here. The secret gnosis that comes with being a poet, as well as the fellowship we all share, are both very eloquently expressed. I very much enjoyed this piece.

Our first thoughts Bind our hearts,

See what I find when I venture into places I don't usually venture into? Excellent work!

such is the quiet acknowledgement of writers, sharing the same passion separately.
