You never think of death until the fatal day
When those you loved are gone.
When all, that was so dear, Grim Reaper takes away.

There's nothing left to do but watch it with dismay,
Your fortune's evil turn.
You never think of death until the fatal day.

When you set off to walk a long and lonely way,
You now will go alone.
When all, that was so dear, Grim Reaper takes away.

Since when you'll only hear a long and grieving lay,
Your heart will now intone.
You never think of death until the fatal day.

When suddenly your soul is lost and goes astray,
When you can only groan.
When all, that was so dear, Grim Reaper takes away.

When hopelessly you pray.
When painfully you moan.
You never think of death until the fatal day
When all, that was so dear, Grim Reaper takes away.

It appears quite negligent on the part of the adult world that we are not taught of death and the way of things before we are taught else... :(

Why is life, an individual experience, so affected by the passing of other individuals, except for it's own individual struggle with finite senses?

Thought provoking piece here, thanx! :)

I relate well to this one, but we learn to live and to accept death in time, even our own death. Nice write iblieve
