For reasons
Un-heard by all who cherished
I ended the saga,
the struggle
the futility,
that was my own
In its place
I affixed a cross
With only one name
Set upon the woodwork
To give all, no reason to doubt
Who lays beneath, the soil
My last words,
written in all the years,
I exsisted
Came out a mere whisper
Stark contrast
To their harsh beginning
My hourglass lays shattered
My heart in subtle ruin
My last visage of humanity
Ended
When they closed the tomb

THank you...
Somedays my thoughts just travel to the dark places again...and this is the result. I am glad you liked it.
Dennis
well, it kind of worries me, on a personal "I'm your friend and I care about you" kind of way - but it is a good poem, Dennis. You are writing betterthan ever these days. Hope it helps.....

Worry not Beki, all is well on the home front here. Just needed to at times vent frustrations when the world conspires. So In a "Reassuring the friend kind of way" I'm okay :)

I'm not one to comment with..."I hope you're ok" Because I write a lot of dark poetry myself..I like to think that (most) writing..is just that..."Writing"
and on that note..
Damn good dark!!!!!!!!

i can see the cauffin lid closing, but i don't feel that this is the end...
imagery was great and you really awoke something within me, odd, since it about something/someone doing the opposite of awaking...
(little joke there, get it?)
cheers

Charmer: Yes most writing is just that....I will never fully admit what is the creative side of me, and what is the dark side of me. It is up to everyone else to figure that out. But worry not :) I'm still writing right? Thanks for the reply.
Patriot: It never is, when the lid closes, that life may end, but pain may just begin. I am glad I evoked something out of you with it. And yes I get the joke heeheheh :)

"My hourglass lays shattered

Graphic piece, with all kinds of emotional lines. I liked this one the best. I dunno, an hourglass is such a great metaphor for life, eh?
Hey, nice piece man!
