Slipping into shadows

sublime shadows
washing over me
numbing cells
with sorrow
darkness
groping out for me
it will all
be over soon
what was I even here for?
why couldn't I
have been stronger?
all these emotions
don't feel natural to me
the tears that
trace my journey
holding... on to
what is disconnected.
soon I will slip
into the shadows
doom will reap
the sadness
and glide down
from midnight
to shred apart
the darkness
absorbing
my existence
with a gentle swab of shadows.
maybe then
I can rest
soundly
in the place
where I belong.

I loved it and the way you made your breaks to emphasize certain key words, damn I know someone else that use that a lot. Excellent write my brother. Thanks you two. I wrote this honestly in deep pain and fear after coming home after visiting my brother. His views and changed personality messed me up pretty bad and I think he isn't alone in feeling lost and godless. Hopefully I can put out some solution or alternatives in my upcoming novels.
