Natural Wonder

Amazed when lightning cracks the sky's dark-skinned surface
the war-cry of thunder causes me to tremble..
reminds me of my own fragile existence..
A rainbow arches its smile across the tear stained features of a waking horizon
leading to inspiration in even the coldest of hearts
The meditating lake escapes the tensions of mankind's struggles as a waterfalls' ferocious grace finds solace under stars and moonshade
you too are a natural wonder sister
I'll gaze at you with awe and appreciation
and surrender to your serenity
beauty..innocence..faith..
fearless
I'll succumb to your true nature
in the hopes that you will do me no harm.

the last two lines particularly caught my attention. yes, i do often wonder fearfully at nature.

I really thought this entire poem was so nice to read, the way it fell and reads off the page just flow. I highlighted my favorite part, but as I said, really nice work in it's entirety. thank you for sharing your work!
