View Full Version : Darker Skies

Hope needs the warm kiss of belief
To grow fields of blooming dreams
Bearing ripe fruits of love
I realize now
Never was a reason
For your ever changing seasons
Never understood why
You sacrificed love
For darker skies
It was
Just the way the sparrow flies

I can not make the past over
But I gave you a four leaf clover
From the fields we use to roam
Yet songs of love never found a home
Luck was not attached
The wish bone snatched
And broken in an uneven half
Now all my lucky charms are lost in the past.

I am a broken man
Surviving in a tragic land
Wearing my cloak of hopelessness
Hiding my fragile constitution
Written on paper thin resolutions
Promises made of dust

promises made of dust...beautiful. Such a tragic piece, wanting, hoping, getting ripped apart like a wish bone..excellent. I love you~Dandy

Thanks for your comment my dear, yes life is full of magic, but too often infatuation and love makes us believe the relationship is magical only to have the feelings fade. This poem is about one of those times and all the lucky charms in the world couldn't help. Thanks for the comment my dearest.
