A dull gray divide stands between Earth and her Sky
and a sadness envelops her heart...
but hope springs forth in a vivid display,
as Sky extends a vibrant hand
and touches her cheek.

bryan, as i read, the sun darts brilliant from behind the clouds! no l'arc en ciel, but the flaming orange, gold and garnet chicken trees (les arbes a pere richard) will suffice being the rainbow is occupied here in AC.

this is beautiful, as usual. you and nature really got it going on, huh?!?!?!

:)

Rainbows remind me of my kindergarten, for some strange reason.

beautifully done - the french title is lovely. the differentiation between 'her' sky works really well. feels like it's apart of a bigger piece - perhaps like life in a way.

happy holidays!

Lala, poetry is all about perception. I'm glad that this sparked so clear a picture - that means I did my job :D. Yeah, nature has been a constant source of inspiration for writing, as you can tell.

Did you enjoy kindergarten THawk? In any event, thanks for reading and replying.

It's funny that you should say that it feels like part of something bigger; it actually has the same inspiration as "Overcast" - a picture of a plane leaving Las Vegas with a towering rainbow spilling out of a dark thundercloud in the background. The short story from this poem kind of grew and expanded into "Overcast" with a bit of pondering. In any event, thank you very much Katie.

I adored it (as far as I can remember).

My preschool (age 3 - 4) was in Parramatta, and my primary school at the time I was in kindi was in Bankstown.

Then that means I struck a fond memory. :) I never attended preschool, but I really enjoyed kindergarten, school in general for that matter.
