I will breathe fire into the tulip trees
I will bless all that is forgiven
For there is no truer time I live upon
I walk the path of the blackened fields
and watch the crimson prison of laughter
I am forever seeking the inner you in me
as I walk past your forgotten lives
I treasure the small lash upon which you still exist
I burry the weak and feeble in shards of glass
For there is no other tin hat I wear
You are forever sold to no desire
Your hand it clings to thin air
In your last and final fragmented memory
I watch you lie forever in shards of glass

I think I know her, excellent writing. Took me back to a time in my life when I was in love with someone like this.

I think I find this and the one its meant for, to be on a very common
ground... How tragic the times we are at our highest point is when
we are at our lowest point. May the tulip trees burn forever
in the blackend fields.

ibieve: I checked over all the words once more and over the comments
and I found yours to be an odd one. You said , "I think I know 'her',...".
It was nice to see you make the assumption that the poem is
about a her. Just noting that it could have easly been written in
third person and that it could have been me seeing what someone else
was doing, saying, and feeling towards me.

& thanks grey...
