Mist unveils
A field of flagstone
Where I've buried my dreams
And put true hopes
To rest

Every day,
Another marker is placed
For even the simplest desires
Remain still born

There was a time
When I knew all their names
And what these omnious tombs
Did keep and contain

But like quicksilver
Running through these hands
I couldn't keep my grip
So they kept falling;
Into the fields
Tilled with shadow
From names to numbers
I watch it....forever grow

Hauntingly moving poem. One that stays with you. Enjoyed.

This was a very moving piece for me...so dark...I loved it. I am quickly becoming a fan.

Ibelieve: In time there shall be better things to harvest and till......but until then.....Let shadows Grow

Donut: I am glad you enjoyed it....but I hope it doesn't linger too long.

Dandylion: Its good to know that you are enjoying what I write....may I never steer you wrong.

Let the shadows grow - but don't forget to find the light and laughter. Balance is key.
