I looked into the face of Heaven,
And stood in awe in all her beauty.
To inspire humble poets such as I
Is but her single most perfect duty.

When the sun rises in the morning,
It is she, wearing a golden orb necklace.
Her loving smile and tender warmth
Heats the cold world with simple caress.

And when the sun sets to rest,
It sets a magnificent fire to the sky.
It is the Lady's fiery red hair set loose,
Combing the sky with beauty none can deny.

Then people all around the world,
Gaze into her enchanting blue eyes.
Shimmering stars dance all around,
Decorating her majestic blue of the skies.

A shooting star flew across the sky,
Flying across her navy eyes so free.
A single wish comes to mind,
"I wish I were as beautiful as she."

i love how you personified heaven ~ it was a really neat idea for a poem. i just had one of those "i wish i'd thought of that" moments. :)

Really enjoyed this piace clean cut imagery
but to me the sun is male and the moon female
male chavinism perhaps?
