Sometimes I like to look at words as objects, prominent enough to sit in the middle of the room and sturdy enough to stand upon. But most of the time they are as fleeting as brush strokes, as thin as a singular strand of hair. I think I may buy a wig made of letters, sentences and unnecessary punctuation just so I can run my fingers through it as I would freshly cut grass. A crown of words fit for a queen. I shall decorate it with pasta shells and my keen sense of elaboration. Rowing my way through this man-made canal, I’ve never been so happy.
