cat like frogs in the middle of the night
milky white eyes and pale pale skin
what's happening to me
is it happening to you
their razor sharp claws diggin at my soul
midnight shimmer from the black pool of dead dead white fish
peripheral vision catches me awake
now i'm laying at the bottom of lake
went down down to the bottom of the stairs
dank dank dark feelings coming from my back
slimy white walls all jacked up
i felt afraid like something was coming for us
gone to cross the claiming of my deed
maybe one day we will all be free
white wash fireplace in the middle of cave
one life left not much to save
climb across the dead dead fish
i feel all the people cheering me on
light at the bottom went out and you where gone
i didn't see you on the other side
right hand, left leg, moving a cross
corner of my eye was trying to escape
out stretched frog tearing at my back
tearing at my back
i never made it across
i lay awake
staring at the ceiling
all boxed in, no where to go
happy now, i hope you know
just cover me with the dead dead white fish
closed eyes
white smoke
the deed

I have no idea what you were inspired by but what I got out of it was depression...that mental battle that goes on in the chaotic clutter I like to call my brain...what unsettles me is I can relate to this...oh geez...now Ill be pondering my mental state all night! Great read...I loved it!~Dandy

Yeah it was kind of a feeling i had but
it was also a 3 part dream if you can
imagine ... it felt real... you know
like life.. bizzare and unsettling
so I tried to figure it out and wrote
a poem ... black water or any kind in
a dream is not good. Usually something
happens to you shortly after. I've had
similar dreams and very bad things have
happened to people around me, almost death.
I never figure out what they mean or who
they are about until its to late. This one
was to real. I never went back to sleep and
still see the images as if i lived them and
felt their prescence.

Tavis,
you know what they say, that dreams are the window to the soul.

Yeah but I'm still trying to find out what soul is.
Reading lots of books on what they think it is but
you know... ill be dead before i find out or when
im dead ill find out.. always back to my holigraphic
world I live in... dreams are just us in a different
state of holigraphic flux and that when we dream
we just goto another part of the holigram and really live
... and when we die you just goto another part
of the holigrams reality or layer... similar to how
some religions actually believe which makes me wonder.

Dreams are interesting things. I have had dreams like this as well, maybe why I related so much to it. I could picture the whole thing so clearly. Watch for signs...dreams are the for-runner and the signs come next. Im interested to find out what happens next~Dandy

Seeing a dead fish means disappointment and loss of power/wealth.
Seeing claws in your dream means feelings of vulnerability and/or
hostility. You feel a need to defend or protect yourself or your
surroundings. You also need to be careful with your words and
actions. Dreaming that you are walking down a flight of stairs,
represents your repressed thoughts. It suggests that you are going
into your unconscious. It also refers to setbacks that you will
experience in your life. If you are afraid of going down the stairs,
then it suggests that you are afraid to confront your repressed
emotions and thoughts. Is there something from your past that you
are not acknowledging. Seeing an unlit fireplace, is indicative of
low energy, disinterest, or disheartenment. Seeing a lake in your
dream means your emotional state of mind. If the lake is disturbed,
then you may be going through some emotional turmoil. Dreaming that
you are missing something indicates a sense of being out of control
and being disorganized.
according to the dream dictionary (http://hyperdictionary.com/dream)
seems pretty close...
