Where were you?
First verse:
Where were you when the hard times hit?
Where were you when I felt so alone?
Where were you when I was sick?
Where were you through the dark unknown?
(Chorus)

Chorus:
You were with me to the end.
You carried me through it all
You were right here inside of me,
You have called me to a place of rest.

Second verse:
Where were you when I was weak?
Where were you when I was strong?
Where were you when I could not sleep?
Where were you when the nights were long?

(Jump to bridge)

(Bridge)
I may not have known it but you were with me.
I have a purpose and a plan for everything
I carried you through all those hard times
(Repeat chorus)

Chorus:
I was with you to the end.
I carried you through it all
I was right here inside of you,
I have called you to a place of rest.

Intro Background music start

I went home for two weeks during my Christmas break, to see my family that I hardly ever get to see and spend time with especially now since my step-mom’s time is short. It was hard being at home to see you like that. It was also very hard to see my dad like he was: hurting because he is losing his wife to cancer.

Where were you?
First verse:
Where were you when the world turned cold?
Where were you when the world turned hot?
Where were you when I was sick?
Where were you when I was well?
(Chorus)

Chorus:
I was right here inside of you,
You may not see or understand why?
But I have a purpose and a plan for everything.
I have called you to a place of rest and no pain and suffering.

Second verse:
Where were you when I was weak?
Where were you when I was strong?
Where were you when I could not sleep?
Where were you when I could get sleep?
(Chorus)

Third verse:
Where were you when the hard times hit?
Where were you when the good times hit?
Where were you when I felt so alone?
Where were you when I knew I was not alone?
(Jump to bridge)

Forth verse: (Bridge)
You were with me to the end.
I may not have known it but you were with me.
You were with me you carried me through
All those hard times
(Repeat chorus)

Conclusion
I thank you so much for being part of my life. If it is your will to take my step-mom out of this world I just pray you take her with peace and no more suffering.

Yes it will be hard loosing her but if she is gone at least she will not be suffering no more. She will be well again in heaven.

Matt
I was sick and you healed me, I was in prison and you came to see me, I was naked and you clothed me, but who are you?

I am the Lord Your God believe and trust in me.

This is a wee bit repetative. I think that you could use some originality and turn this into a really nice song. Needs work, but nice try!

This is some very powerful, personal and emotional writing, I am very respectful that you were willing to post this and share the story behind it with us. I enjoyed how the chorus answered the verse. -Lyly

A nice write. One of much hope and peace. I'm also touched that you shared your story with us.

I don't mind the repetitiveness as much. The ending is nice and I imagine it's spoken softly in the background.

I enjoyed the story behind this and the strong belief you seem to have here ;)
