The world is waking
And the sky a paling blue,
With no clouds in sight.
Spikes of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows
Will soon streak across the sky
As the day begins to warm.
All that is green; grass, leaves,
Fields that are the flowing seas surrounding my home,
Are kissed by the morning's dew.
In the distance,
A train passes quickly by.
Nearby, cars' engines are coming to life.
Purring with the simple turn of the key.
Downstairs, lights are turned on
As the kettle boils.
The tom cat meows to be let out,
As the baby purr machine races up along the stairs
To come and greet me with my 'hello.'
As I ready myself to welcome the world with mine.
And the sky a paling blue,
With no clouds in sight.
Spikes of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows
Will soon streak across the sky
As the day begins to warm.
All that is green; grass, leaves,
Fields that are the flowing seas surrounding my home,
Are kissed by the morning's dew.
In the distance,
A train passes quickly by.
Nearby, cars' engines are coming to life.
Purring with the simple turn of the key.
Downstairs, lights are turned on
As the kettle boils.
The tom cat meows to be let out,
As the baby purr machine races up along the stairs
To come and greet me with my 'hello.'
As I ready myself to welcome the world with mine.
