*I'm not happy with this title so hopefully I'll think of something better soon.

I miss you most at night
when I’m lying in bed alone
clutching my pillow
just like it was you
and I breathe a little bit differently
Cos I know that you’re not there
to inhale my air

and I guess I could break down
call you up and confess
that I’ve seen better days than this
And love hurts worse
when I’m waiting for the sun to shine

There’s something calm in
being with my thoughts and
a cup of coffee and my toast
at 6 in the morning

but, it’s not worth it when
sharing my soul with a man
‘cos the deepest part that breaks in two
I’ll never get back

I miss you most at night
when I’m lying in bed alone
clutching my pillow
just like it was you
and I breathe a little bit differently
Cos I know that you’re not there
to inhale my air

and I guess I could break down
call you up and confess
that I’ve seen better days than this
And love hurts worse
when I’m waiting for the sun to shine

In the meantime, I sleep sometimes
and listen to the breeze
it beats against my window
and speaks

I breathe a little easier
when the world is quiet
and somewhere in the twilight
I think it cries for me

but I guess it’s just because
there’s no life in this room
and when I dream it’s black and white
like some classic movie view

You know...

I miss you most at night
when I’m lying in bed alone
clutching my pillow
just like it was you
and I breathe a little bit differently
Cos I know that you’re not there
to inhale my air

and I guess I could break down
call you up and confess
that I’ve seen better days than this
And love hurts worse
when I’m waiting for the sun to shine
I'm waiting for the sun to shine

I miss you most at night

" I miss you most at night" I can't even tell you just how much this song relates to my life right now...but it helps to see the words that I somehow can't find. You're chorus is solid and really effective in expressing all that hurt.
"but I guess it’s just because
/there’s no life in this room/and when I dream it’s black and white/like some classic movie view" - This stanza really stood out for me, and I wish I could say exactly why, eh, it just does. Good read, can definatly "hear" it and it sounds beautiful. Cheers- Lyly

Jamie,
I actually like "I could break down" a lot better. :)
thanks.

And thank you for always being so kind to me in your responses.

Sometimes I think you are TOO sweet ;)

"Death 'til Dawn" popped into my head, after the lyrics faded, before i saw the title was already discussed...

Can see a lot of folk replaying this one on long, lonely nights... :)
