REMEMBERING VALENTINES

Sweet,
heart shaped candies
symbolize its approach.
Children
draw, cut, paste,
exchange funny faces
and laugh…

It’s a time for fun-making.

A romantic dinner,
hold-me-close music
denotes its return.
Lovers
embrace, kiss, inhale,
exchange dreams
of the future together…

It’s a time for love-making.

Church bells ring,
announcing its arrival.
Couples wed, honeymoon,
exchange,
become one.

It’s a time for life-making.

A red rose,
a candle flickers, burns, drips,
from atop a champaign bottle.
It’s here again,
flowing memories of wax.

It’s a time for reminiscing. . .

A time for remembering Valentines.

Is valentines day coming up? I need to geta red posterboard and cut it out in the shape of a heart. Then in big letters write I've got a heart on forthen a line with no name. Ha ha ha thats funny. I will start a collection of these and perhaps write about the night somewhere on the heart.

Valentine's Day. The only good thing about it is that it means SkyFire is around the corner.

And, of course, it inspires good poetry ;)

(How did you mess it up?)
