February day

The sky is glowering dull and grey
with pregnant clouds swollen with rain.
There is no brightness to the day
for winter has returned again.

The second month of the year
the sky is glowering dull and grey.
The signs of spring yet to appear
How I look forward to the day.

When the cold winter’s making way
for the gentler airs of spring.
The sky is glowering dull and grey
It overshadows everything.

I will not let it get me down
I’m sure that spring is on the way.
There is no reason I should frown
The sky is glowering dull and grey.

A different take on February for me.

By this time of the year, we're doing raindances in the hope of relief from the humidity.

I liked glowering sky in the repetitive line. This is a favorite form of mine to read.
