Mother Nature is calling,
Calling with the wind,
Changing with the seasons,
And she is talking with Father Time.

Mother Nature is growing,
Growing love with every tree,
Spreading passion with every seed,
And she is walking with Father Time.

Mother Nature is changing,
Changing with every new life,
Pushing on with every wave,
And she is dancing with Father Time.

Mother Nature is burning,
Burning with every storm,
Feeding with the rain drops,
And she is singing with Father Time.

Mother Nature is ageing,
Ageing with grace and courage,
Gaining wisdom with every moment,
And she is talking with Father Time.

Sable, I could have sworn that I responded to this. I wonder how I messed that one up.

Anyway, what I thought I wrote was how I like the way you crescendo up to the fourth stanza and, then, calm it back down with a sort of melancholy in your last stanza.

I also thought that I wrote how, in the stanza above, the extended personification/metaphor is truly strong. How much more maternal/parental can you get than to feed your child, in this case, the earth?

Don’t know where that reply went. I hope that this one doesn’t get lost.

At any rate, this is a well thought out piece.
