here is a special piece i wrote, in honor of the holiday. happy Valentine's Day, everybody!

As i sit here on the floor
waves of pain
waves of laughter
funny how memory leaves you
nice while it was
nice while we were
together
one
now only I
left alone
mourning, singing
to myself songs of love
stare into nothing
hand is warm
blood is dripping
close my hand
squeeze flesh
your heart
warm to the touch
yet now useless
lacking a body
no more soul
it is my valentine
all that is left
of you
in my hand
how could i?
