At one time I believed
This truth was a cure
For the plauge we bring
Disguised as friendship

My love could contain
Uncertain futures
Bottle and preserve
True moments

But how helpless I feel
When all life around me
Is free from the chains
That still bind me

Everywhere I look
The road goes onward
But I'm still staring
At this wrong way sign...

A long time ago
But not so far away
I was the cure
For this disease
But now I look
As others climb and grow
One pill to cure the true cause
And end this life so.....

believe it or not, I can kind of relate to these thoughts - and i especilly like the first 4 lines above, nicely said....

I've always loved reading your poetry... I just don't know what to say. I still will reply, though. I find that important.
