View Full Version : She Wears Black

She wears black
to mourn
her life
she never lived.
She hums hymns,
chants for the dead,
lighting candles
in her memory.
She counts the beads,
fingers the cost,
raising hands in prayer
of forgiveness
for her sins.
She digs a grave,
plants the lillies,
sets the stone
above her head.
She sleeps in peace,
free at last
from the life
she never lived.

This is so dark and sad and the line above was the nail in the casket so to speak. Laid it all to rest in a magnificent darkness. Beautiful baby. iblieve

Tragic, truly depressing that some have their chance to live stolen away and some of those living dare to say they wish they never were born.
