reverent
oaks yet barehead

bow,

leave the laurel from the brow
until their queen has made her quest,
layed her last light on the breast of heaven
in her passage
west

from winter.

laleesh, I’ve seen glasses of water where it appears that the liquid level is actually higher than the top of the glass.

So it is with your wonderful writing. The difference is, the water is just a little higher than the top of the glass. The substance and beauty of your poetry is many times greater than the words you use to convey them. It’s truly remarkable.

And you never sacrifice poetic devices. You mold them in unique and refreshing ways.

There is rhyme in this piece, there is alliteration in this piece, there is personification in this piece.

But most of all, there is beauty and hope in this piece.

Remarkable!!

I’m extremely jealous.
