She came to greet the silent skies
Her naked human mind
To gaze in awe with seeking eyes
The lunar heaven's climb

It came to be the greatest sight
Her human pupil's saw
The sun her guide her only light
It's beauty in the raw

Until it set she waited there
Her pupils gazing high
Patient for it's last gentle glare
While diving in the sky

She came to greet the silent skies
Her naked human mind
To gaze in awe with seeking eyes
The lunar heaven's climb

this is nice woollams; such motion and lightplay! much like a time-lapse photo.

woollams, I can see this solitary figure standing in a field gazing up into sky, a look of amazement on her face. Though she’d seen the sun, sky, stars and moon before, the look of wonder on her face said that this was the first time she’d ever really noticed them. The imagery did all that for me.

Using the first stanza as the last stanza merely reinforced that image for me.

The words that I highlighted set up that “first time” feeling perfectly. They’re dynamic words.

Nicely penned.

Thanks for the insight, I worked on this making sure I metered it correctly. I tried to create the image and it appears to be successful. Thanks.
