I love spring...
the birth of new life
the regrowth of nature
the lovely aromas that abound the senses.
Taking a walk outside today
looking at the wonders of spring
eyes filling with tears of joy
overcome with the urge to sing.
I open my mouth to let loose a tune
when what can you imagine happened?
I started sneezin and sneezin and sneezin
because after all, this is Allergy Season.
I do love spring but my allergies dont!

Konstantine, Welcome to AC! Thank you for replying as well. I suffer from late March all the way through September sometimes. Miserable at times, but it doesnt keep me from enjoying the seasons. Hope to see you around the forums. :)

I like it :)
Hayfever, that's something I've never suffered from. Thank God.
We have wattle trees lining our front fence, and up the side of the driveway... in Spring, entering our house is like running a gauntlet for anyone who suffers from it.

Oh, I think I would definately run the gauntlet to run underneath the trees. Tree lined driveways and walkways reminds me of the plantations of the South. Thanks!

mb, thanks. I never had them as a child. Just within the last 6 or 7 years has it become a major annoyance to me.

Wandelaar, Welcome to AC! Its not so bad for me inside as long as the doors and windows are closed up. Those few weeks between lovely spring~mild days and the sultry days of summer are the worst. If the A/C is not on filtering the air, then I'm pretty much done for. Have had a monster sinus headache since Saturday. My Zyrtec isnt cutting it, neither is the Tylenol. Thank you for posting, and once again, welcome.

Peggy,
AAAAaaaAAAAA-CHOOOO!
I'm right there with ya, babe.
My allergies are tormented year-round. I find no respite. The only thing that keeps me from having a year-round sinus infection is my happy little barrel-shaped Zyrtec. I think January and Februaryand most of July are usually good months for me.
I'm allergic to so many things, I can't list them all. But they include most domestic animals as well as hay, tree pollens, flower pollens, grass pollens, molds, work, and dust.
What's funny is, I can't get enough of being outdoors, although I get sick from it all the time.
My allergies are a result second-hand smoke.

Isn't Zyrtec the best?? We cant live without it around here. Our allergies, my oldest and youngest too are definately pollen related. We used to live next to an apple orchard in Gettysburg about 10 years ago. The first spring there, my face swelled up, and my eyes closed shut! Needless to say, we moved almost immediately out of there. Been on Zyrtec for a few years now. Our animals dont bother us at all, (luckily)its just when the grass gets mowed or the blossoms first appear on the trees.

Well written and quite funny, peggy. Like I always say, behind every rainbow there’s a dark cloud.

I just love the way you work the rhyme into that verse. http://mysmilies.ipbfree.com/s/otn/happy/sunflower.gif
