Grasses, long,
two feet high,
thin and emerald green,
sway with passing breezes.

Slim-winged dragonflies,
dart in frenzied motion,
from stem to stem.

Soft hues,
yellows, purples, blues,
inter-mingle in scattered bouquets
of beauty, simplified.

Fragrances, light,
tease the air
with a delicate balm
of subdued perfumes.

In wildflower fields,
barefoot, I linger,
longer than I should.

But nothing
seems to hold more importance
at this moment,
than me,

standing here,

in wildflower fields.

Cathy, very vivid and very passionate.

All of the imagery is good in “In Wildflower Fields”. However, while the rest of the stanzas are serene and tranquil, the second stanza in dynamic.

Your choice of words throughout the entire piece is meticulous.

The word “tease” in this stanza is a good example of how well the words are chosen, in this case, personifying “fragrances” and “light”.

You tell your heart in this piece. http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/fk/daisy.gif

almost surreal with it's imagery - I can feel this one like wet grass between my toes.
