Shells

I walk on the beach in
seach of shells
to fill my life with
the ocean smells.

The sea creatures that
used to dwell
...amongst the seaweed and the swells
the creatures of the ocean floor
...come to me from the ocean core.

I pick them up and look at them
the design and shapes
thrill me.

Come, join me on the beach tonight
to seek the shells and
creatures from the ocean
this night.
