another gift left on the ground
a white winged dove dropped
a feather
i took it for my own
placed it with thirty-two others
crowded for space
in a small vase
winged for flight held
by a potters hand
tickling my fancy

wow! this is lovely; amazing just how far and how high the imagination can soar on just one single feather, eh?

dove is a symbol of loyalty, faithfulness. and there is the gift; yours to receive, or to give :).

Oh, I'm glad I came in here today! I love feathers... I have an arrangement of seashells glued on floral sticks and those little bamboo-looking hollow stems from dried floral shops? And feathers fit into the little reeds perfectly.... all I have are pigeon feathers mixed in (so far) though.... :) Nice to see someone else digs them too!
