View Full Version : As the Willow

Graceful as the willow dipping,
When winter wind blows harsh and drear;
Gentle as the doe bows sipping,
Thirstily from the river clear;
Pliant as the grass lies bending,
Before the onslaught of the rain;
Surely as the heart beats, mending,
The seasons turn, love comes again.

And Nature’s beauty continues to morph into wonderful poetry!

I agree with TRexroth. The meter is consistent and the imagery models itself.

I was actually going to write “I love your … rhythm”, but, as you can tell from the “….”, I couldn’t think of an adjectival case for “imagery”. ;)
