snow
falling on a barren earth
yesterdays rain
rattling dead smokestacks
on the way to empty streets
no snow men from our past
standing on the corners
only counterfeits here and there
molded ice on twisted rubble
seen through a looking glass
our view
another day of endless winter
snow
falling on a barren earth
that we may never touch

I found this very interesting, indeed. Kind of desolate, it reminded me why I love my 'country' home... well done. =^.^=

thank you wikidkiti! this is my conception of nuclear winter told
through the eyes of some one staring out of a biodome. disheartened
because they will never know the pleasure of earth. the only life
most will know is the biodome.

So far, probably the best of your works I've read here. Suppose that's because it seems to be the most image laden of them to me. Guess I'm more of the 'show not tell' camp these days.

thanks Joe! what I do sometimes lacks in imagery but at times out
of necessity. a lot of it and you'll see this amounts to one complete
thought that I felt to much imagery might cloud and not relate
to "constant reader" what was actually said or occuring.
man did that make any sense?
