This is my first posting in about 2 years. This poem and it's companion were just recently rejected for publication in my college's literary magazine. Despite this I'm a fan of them for their verse, which I always utilize, and for their images.
“Beyond Repose”
Sing a song for me, tranquility
Play it back I’ll pause to bear
All the facets of your mystery
And the truths within your stare
In your sights I find most sensibly
Of the lures of idleness
Hear the verses croon out pensively
On the charms of lifelessness
Wherein vocalized within your calls
Raw enchanted frailty
Orchestrated tones in waterfalls
Show a beauty, fast and free
See disclosed within the changing shades
Bleeding summers fading bliss
Which reveal the season’s final fade
And yields souls into remiss
If where silence lurks you are recalled
It’s but vague uncertainty
But a fool to think I might befall
Tranquil thoughts - beyond the trees
“Beyond Repose”
Sing a song for me, tranquility
Play it back I’ll pause to bear
All the facets of your mystery
And the truths within your stare
In your sights I find most sensibly
Of the lures of idleness
Hear the verses croon out pensively
On the charms of lifelessness
Wherein vocalized within your calls
Raw enchanted frailty
Orchestrated tones in waterfalls
Show a beauty, fast and free
See disclosed within the changing shades
Bleeding summers fading bliss
Which reveal the season’s final fade
And yields souls into remiss
If where silence lurks you are recalled
It’s but vague uncertainty
But a fool to think I might befall
Tranquil thoughts - beyond the trees
