“In Losing Sense of Place”

Displaced foresight there in this night
In losing sense of place
A blinded guide by midnight light
In nature’s darkened grace

The sound of nighttime false and fast
Collective hiss unknown
Of lunar nightlight shadows cast
In senseless light there shown

Distraction’s plea for guidance lost
Collective loss of sense
Impending risk inaction’s cost
Impassioned recompense

of grasping toward diminishing sense in the night,
the dark
does it to us,
and your poem captures it nicely
