The stars are twinkling
winking into life
…moonshine’s on the water
reflects the stars perfectly.

I gaze at my reflection
from the bow of the boat
as the ripples of water change my view
of what I see.

The water is calming
…silence is welcome
as I drift on the water at night.

All life’s troubles seem to drift away
…as I gaze into the night
my spirit is soaring
…peaceful as the sky
