Big bug-eyes
gaze into me emptily
allowing me to connect
mementarily
in life's menagerie
"Just looking for the moment, thankyou."
She observes the wares
mentally catalogues and assesses
conceals the oohs and ahhs
Where is she going?
What is she looking for, here?

A strange write, this one; but I get the feeling that even the smallest bug has a spiritual significance and awaits transcendence... thank you for writing, which allowed me some speculation... Ron.

you should keep your eyes to your targets everything
yet shift the shadows as nothing more than background
systematically shifting awaiting the pounce
strike once
an lay into it
but only if she fails her moral obligation

Yes, I appreciate, from a technical perspective very much, the rhyme and repetition devices (alliterative especially) throughout the poem.
The message itself drew my attention to the contradiction that while we are all unique individuals in our own right, with our own worlds and personal lives, at one and the same time, we are without doubt a part of wider human society. This meeting up of strangers, as suggested in your work here, kind of neatly captures this dimension of human existence for me.
What indeed is she looking for?
