the balefire's stale fire,
fresh fire's lit.

oak king on his laurel sits.

holly felled
and earth full tilt,
dark incised, winter spilt;

a new sun gloried to the hilt
arcs lightly in

to summer.

I just knew this would be here when I went looking for it!
as sure as the sun swings...

hahaha, you know it monkey boy! i honor my semi-sabbats, so rich in history and tradition. :)

i had to laugh at my son today. "puff", he said, "i wish it were the end of winter!". LOL!!! i got a kick over enlightening him and the grandkids of other traditions. and so did they, eye'ing their stacks of presents under the christmas tree. yep, we got it all going on in my house! :)

reminds me of the frosty ring around the sun during this time. The places you take me lala, the places we go...
