Unbridled

The angry breakers rage and roar, constantly threatening the shore.
The sand and shingle simply wait the pounding they anticipate.
The waves have tried for centuries to bring the coast line to its knees.

The land treats the sea with disdain although sometimes the sea can gain.
The land stands firm the sea retreats .Each puffed with their own conceits.
The fickle wind helps either side its loyalties don’t long abide.

The land is girded by the seas, the sea rejects all boundaries
The wind blows wild the wind blows free. Superior to land and sea,
there is no power which can bind or seek to curb the restless wind

The wind can rage and roar above, be gentle as a turtle dove
The wind can fell the might trees and overcome the roughest seas.
There is no boundary defined to which the wind pays any mind.

"There are more things in heaven and earth than are drempt of in your philosophy, Horatio." :) Now that I have mangled Shakespeare and am humming "The Cinema Show" in my mind, I shall say thank you for a lovely write. The shore can be an interesting, awesome, and humbling place, even in---or especially in---calm, non-threatening conditions.

The sea is a harsh mistress but still fascinating in her power over men
