[monkey boy]

a hank of hair, a tattered cloak
fingers twigged in bone
umbrella lost before the storm
on a dark flap home
hot naked ugly bird
upended, exists
scoop-eared dog face
twisted in the devil's fist
a soft leathery flutter in the rain,
waves of screams in utter silence
erratic orbits against the grain, perfect
ellipses to a hidden sense
upside down, nightside up
mother cavern father moon
give shelter, give beacon
to this dogged demon pup.

"now with even more monkey" - i should say so!

nature does embrace a darkside - i guess its a place we humans can go and do things topsy-turvy. then again, seeing it inside out holds some of newton's hope - the inverse is also ever present in the mix
