Fair exchange
I see the light diminishing
as evening falls and night draws nigh.
The suns last rays are colouring
in lurid shades the western sky.
The distant hills are tinged with gold
as blue skies turn to indigo.
Sunsets a glory to behold
but to our sorrow quickly go..
The night will pass and dawn will break
and glorious sunrise compensate
for sunsets lost and we can take
our own time to appreciate.
These daily beauties which we see
