Angelic script

The trees denuded now of leaves
stand stark against the ice blue sky.
The patterns which the eye perceives
seem intended to mystify.
Slender branches intertwined
to form a lacy tracery
can baffle both the eye and mind.
Although we try we cannot see
Why silhouettes have such appeal
such beauty in austerity.
Perhaps because they make us feel
much more than we can see.
Emotions we can’t quite define
connecting us to the divine.

I admire your skill with rhyme...usually I abhor rhyme in modern poetry becaus eit is so badly done but your poems here skillfully wrought...bravo!
