the circle of life over toast and coffee

"Let's do lunch," said the Osprey,
but the Mullet shook his head
as the bird flew in great circles
far above his grassy bed.

each day the fish hawk asked,
each day the fish declined
the offer most polite,
the refusal quite refined.

but the Mullet took a nap
on a drowsy summer day,
and Osprey had his friend to lunch
at the TreeTop Cafe'.
