i was going to pretend that i hadn't thought about it already but then the moon giggled and whispered a few secrets. right now hey eyes must be green, so i call her gem out loud already. because it made her giggle and then i laughed. and damn. does it ever feel good:

this is the constant struggle -- to be heard like HOORAH like the wolf howls in his sleep dreaming of a moon he feels; some intense vibration shifting.

a letter here, a ladder there, a love song often...

Road Trip to Byzantium

Posted 09-26-2014 at 02:29 AM by goldenmyst

Today, per request, I drove Mom and her dog Ruthie to the town north of here where an eastern orthodox priest lives. Mom belongs to the local church but wanted to see the one in the country.

With the help of a cashier with some sort of internet phone we found the house within which the church is. His children were playing in the yard and were quite startled when I emerged from the car. I asked where their father was. He emerged with his long beard and vestments.

She said it like it was something I should have known. As if psycho analytical garbage consumed my being and I spent hours, days, weeks, months or even years desperately devouring every ounce of mental health knowledge available. (I did) but still it caught me off guard. I was convinced it was an error in judgment, a misreading of my symptoms, I must have said something wrong. Still, when confronted with my demons I only silently objected. As much disbelief as I had there were some things that just...

Trials of a reluctant gardner

Posted 08-31-2014 at 10:19 PM by goldenmyst

Mom drove her motorized cart through Walmart crashing into clothes and knocking over dozens of things.

We finally made it home. She wanted me to move a potted rose bush from one side of the yard to the other. However, it was quite heavy, over a hundred pounds or so by my guesstimate, so I couldn't even get it off the ground. I've also been having raging back pains all day. As result Mom unleashed a salvo of degrading epithets at me. Then she wanted me to push her in her wheel chair...
