Posted 12-09-2009 at 09:38 PM by goldenmyst

Emergency Room Drama

Posted 12-03-2009 at 11:10 PM by goldenmyst

The charming woman doctor doubled her fluid medicines and sent her home after a few hours. The doctor wanted to know why my mother didn't see her regular doctor for this. Mom replied that she like the emergency room better. I took her home and she followed up with her physician. A kidney function check had been recommended by the emergency...

5 degrees F short of embarrassment

Well into my third week out of hospital now, on diuretics and beta blockers for heart failure. Feeling rather better now, with reduced fluid on my lungs, and about fifteen pounds lighter.

Last night was my first party outing since my hospitalisation. It was my brother-in-law's 60th birthday celebration, and was held at The Owl - his local pub. Joyce and I dressed well for the occasion (Joyce by her standards, and I by mine, which I refuse to raise for anyone!)

We arrived...
