well, I made it home without mishap; let's see what the next 6 hours have in store!

(I did see a black cat on my homeward commute, but I got past him in time.)

I have no fear of the fear of Friday the 13th.

But I got gorilla glue all over my hands yesterday. Just my luck. Could have happened any day, though. I'm such a klutz.

I'd forgotten it was a "special" day till someone at work mentioned it! I find young people today generally aren't superstitious - these notorious days aren't even on their minds.

Lack of imagination, eh? ... that or not enough time to exercise their imaginations.

I'll be anxiously awaiting, prepared as well as I am able, to dodge any such bad luck that may cross my path in the many disguises it has been so well known for. The oddly misunderstood but sensibly acceptable chanting of "one-three protect me for only thirteens can exaggerate the means" repeatedly until the suspicion of Miss Fortune evaporates into the cloudless ethers once again, hidden by angst and mistrust of reason for two more times this year.

Thank you for the heads up, my friend!
